Recruitmemt Quick Tips

What to pack?

  • Blotting Paper

  • Lip Gloss or Lipstick

  • Chap Stick

  • Compact Mirror

  • Tissues

  • Fashion Tape

  • Safety Pins

  • Mints, not gum!

  • Band-aids for your blisters, you’ll get them!

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Protein Bar

  • Don’t wear perfume, but do wear deodorant!

  • Umbrella or Raincoat

Confidence Tips:

  • Wear good shoes! You do a TON of walking and standing during recruitment and you want to be confident and comfortable! You can always bring flats or flip flops for the days that involve heels.

  • Bring a warm coat and gloves!  It can be super cold waiting outside the houses and you’ll be thankful for the extra warmth.

  • Eat a good breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day.

  • Wash your hands as much as you can.

  • If you want to remember names, bring a sticky note and a pen so you can write them down in between houses but don't stress if you forget names, we've all been through it and we understand the volume of people you're meeting.

  • Get your full 8 hours each night!

  • Have your go-to stories or questions in case the conversation stalls, and don’t worry if there are awkward silences, it’s normal!

  • Everyone you are talking to has been right where you are.

  • You can steer the conversation to things you're excited about!

  • Relax, this is not the end of the world, it’s just recruitment!

  • Most importantly, GO ALPHA CHI!
