Letter from the President

Welcome to the Alpha Chi Omega chapter at SMU!

My name is Ashley Isabelle, and I am honored to serve as Iota Sigma’s 2025 Chapter President. The past few years of being an Alpha Chi have allowed me to grow into my truest self, and I am endlessly grateful that this sisterhood has recognized this growth within me and chosen me to represent and lead our chapter. Coming in as a college freshman, I had a goal to surround myself with a group of people who were loyal, lighthearted, academically driven, genuine and supportive. I can now confidently say that I have achieved this goal through the women that I have met in Alpha Chi. Every member of this chapter is incredibly driven in their individual pursuits, making up members in every area of the SMU community—from the arts to STEM and from student athletics to community service. I feel constantly inspired by the passion and dedication that each sister brings to their endeavors, and am excited to lead this chapter as we continue to grow and make an impact on our campus.

As a chapter, we participate in all of the classic SMU traditions as well as our own Alpha Chi traditions that allow us to strengthen our bond through unique experiences. The 2025 year will be no different as our members engage in many boulevards, sporting events, weekend brunches, Fondren study hours, and Starbucks study breaks. We also look forward to our annual philanthropy events, Alpha Chi Couture and Paint Wars, where our members unite to spread the word about healthy love to the Dallas community. Additionally, we could not be more excited for recruitment season, welcoming more women into our Alpha Chi family and providing them with an unforgettable new member experience!

There is truly no place like the home I have found at Alpha Chi Omega, and I can only hope that each future member of Iota Sigma will also give and receive the same love that currently surrounds our chapter, creating a lasting legacy of support, sisterhood, and personal growth.
